aggies bro

We have ten new stables at Sharp Hill – 4 indoor and 6 outdoor, here is Agglestone Rock’s 3 year old half brother, known to everyone as ‘Aggie’s Bro’ . he has settled into work well at the yard and is cantering away nicely.

A day off today, and the horse box went to the Countryside Live Show with out daughter Izzy for a working hunter pony class – no prizes after a run-out  but a good day out and now its X Factor results – makes a change from Racing Replay!

Tomorrow its Pontefract  with Venutius and Jawaab. We would prefer a quicker surface for both these geldings but at the end of the flat season and almost November, it has to be expected. Things haven’t gone to plan with ‘Boris’ yet this season but we would love to see him run well tomorrow for his owner breeders Fiona and Brent Williams. Russ Kennemore takes the ride on him and he will be looking to bounce out nice and handy. Jawaab is back to a track he has enjoyed in the past, although any further rain would have to be a major negative, all his form is on good or quicker. Mick O Connell rides him this time.

It won’t be long before some of our good horses from last winter are making their reappearance. Below is Matthew Riley  and James, his regular pilot at home. Matthew  will be going hurdling again this winter and is a very likeable gelding with plenty of ability.
