MUSSELBURGH again!
No runners today but two heading up the A19 North tomorrow – Brunello for Ownaracehorse – Russ
Kennemore rides him for the first time and he has a great strike rate at the track for us. Brunello has been consistent this year without winning, hopefully tomorrow can be his day – Phil is joint leader for the Trainers £5k end of season prize for most wins in the season!! Good luck to Ownaracehorse with him.
Jawaab keeps him company in the box and he goes for the 1m 4f race, he has not been firing yet this season but is looking well and has been doing a few different things in an effort to sweeten him back up. I love Jawaab, he is a fantastic horse and would do any job as well as being a racehorse.
We had a lady from Lancashire trying ‘Indian Ruler’ today to make a potential dressage horse, he is not quick enough to be competitive on the track so he is to find a good home for – he was well behaved and will make a super future dressage/event. Owner bred, he is by the stallion Rainwatch in Ireland and is very smart looking. Taking on an ex-racer can be challenging but very rewarding. He is pictured below.
Last week we just had to take a funny picture of Kim on my cob hacking out with Stenna (Becky) and Colin (carl).. …a classic photo: Philip Kirby Racing?
