Go North Finals Day – Friday at Musselburgh

We’ve been looking forward to this meeting all Winter & It’s an exciting day ahead at Musselburgh for Team PKR. We are delighted to have 2 mares qualified for the final named in honour of Lady B – and with her Owner Jayne Sivills presenting the prize it would be amazing if Ravenscar ( Tommy Dowson) or Misscarlett ( Joe Williamson) could be first past the post, they have each way chances.

We start proceedings with Tommaso in the Go North Grey Bomber Juvenile H’cap final and he is our shortest price of the day in these competitive races – currently 8-1 in this 9 runner race. Tommy rides for Owner, Mrs Joyce Porter who is also the Owner of Misscarlett.

Making up our quartet is the debutante GREEN OAKS TOP CAT bought as foal by Phil at Goffs Sales, she has grown up with fellow mares Martalindy & Lady’s Present and she steps foot for the first time on a racecourse for her Owners ‘The Philip Kirby Racing Club’ in the Mares bumper at 4.40. Joe takes the ride & he has ridden her regularly since she was broken in.

We have quite a lot of Owners in the Club attending today, and plenty more watching at home or not doubt on their phones at work! We are hoping for a promising introduction, she has been quite a stuffy mare to get fit but she continues to improve with every piece of work she does. Whatever happens today she will certainly improve for this outing. Good luck to everyone involved and safe return for horses & jockeys 🍀🐎
