Good Time Ahead wins at Newcastle!

GoodTimeWinNewcOct17

Good Time Ahead wining under Kevin Stott at Newcastle.

Good Time Ahead won for owners Alan Fairhurst, John Greenbank & Colin Fletcher at Newcastle last night under a well judged ride by Kevin Stott. A well deserved win after a handful of near misses over the past couple of months for him. There was a fairly game pace set from the off, which suited Good Time well as he sat and waited to pick them off as they came back to him turning for home, staying on strongly in the final furlong to win by nearly 2 lengths. Congrats to all connections and well done to all the team back at home!

Here are the closing stages of his win, red and white silks on the outside….

Also running yesterday we had The Resdev Way at Catterick. This way his first run since joining us and hadn’t ran since mid August. He hadn’t seemed to be running as well as he had done previously with 3 wins back in 2016. It was a bit of a fact finding run for us, starting a fresh slate, finding out where we are with him and seeing how he runs his races. He set off keenly (as is what seems to be his issue), but with a bit of cover settled and stayed on a little towards the end. Not a bad starting point, we can definitely work on this and hopefully get him back to his winning ways for owners Resdev.

Sincerely Resdev

We have 2yr old Sincerely Resdev having his 3rd run in Novice stakes at Ayr with Paddy Aspell on board again for owners Resdev.  Also at Ayr ridden by Paddy Aspell we have Kaylen’s Mischief  making his first appearance in handicap company, back up in trip to a mile and will have the addition of a hood for the first time in an effort to curb his slightly over enthusiastic way of going. Peter has rode him out in the hood at home and says it is of huge benefit, so hopefully he can save some of his energy for the later stages of his race tomorrow for owner Mark Smith. Good luck to all connections and most importantly come home safe!
