Happy New Year!!!

We are sorry we have been a little slack with the updates on here over the festive period – we have all been very busy….and of course enjoying ourselves a little!

BOXING DAY….

In the parade ring ready to mount – Joe Williamson (Lone Star) & Jay Kozaczek (Zwicky)

WINNER – Lone Star does it well for our Boxing Day Win!

We had Lone Star giving us our winner for Boxing Day at Newcastle with Joe Williamson in the saddle for owners John Cornforth, Peter Rawcliffe and their families. A great win sealed by a near 5 lengths, well done all! Busby also ran a good race on Boxing Day for 2nd, only going down by 1 3/4 lengths at Wolves in his bid for a treble over C&D within a month under Maddi Patzelts for The Busby Partnership. A great effort and he so very nearly achieved the treble. Top Ville Ben made no disgrace of himself in the competitive Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby, the ground was against him but he still travelled and jumped supremely well, and was a creditable 5th against his younger rivals in a big field.

NEW YEARS DAY… We saw a top effort from My Strong Man and Tommy on New Years Day for his owners The Platinum Partnership. A great positive front running ride, looking like the winner turning in but just couldn’t quite make it and had to settle for 2nd. Hopefully next time he can go one better!

It is looking like a week of 2nds for New Year with Raffles Rebel and Connor Beasley at Wolverhampton on Tuesday for Hope Eden Racing staying on to steal 2nd in the final strides. Yesterday we had 2 2nds and a 3rd in the shape of Smart Boyo, Misscarlett and Raiff all at Newcastle. Misscarlett ridden by Cam Hardie only going down by a head to Smart Boyo under Connor Beasley who was 2nd in the same race, and Raiff was so very nearly the winner, also only beaten a head under Joe Williamson. All great efforts and we hope the seconds can progress into some more winners soon! There was a winning Best Turned Out too for PKR club horse Billian turned out to perfection by Katie.
