FOR SALE PAGE UPDATED TODAY
The Quiet before the storm…just the one runner today, Leonard Thomas at ‘the garden’ racecourse – Ripon, but tomorrow and Tuesday we have a host of runners, spearheaded by the 132 rated ‘Nautical Nitwit’ in the Coral handicap Hurdle at Cartmel (5.10) for Tommy Dowson and his Owners, The Birrafun 2 P’ship. We also have Silverlight at Ripon accompanied by Kaylen’s Mischief making his
racecourse debut – both of those runers ridden by the

in-form Kevin Stott. Our quartet of Bank Holiday runners is completed by Shine Baby Shine who makes her fibresand debut over 2 miles at Southwell with Paddy Mathers doing a light weight, she carries 8 stone 4lbs tomorrow with her 3 year old claim. best of luck to all our Owners.
Doyen, the sire of a maiden runner, Kaylen’s Mischief
It will be interesting to see how our flat debutante performs, ‘Kaylen’s Mischief’ is by a classy staying stallion in DOYEN (Sunnyhill stud’s repalcement for Old Vic) but out of a 5f mare. Doyen has had many highly rated flat winers too though and we rate him as a sire, having sent Lady Chloe over to him this Spring so we await a first Doyen foal from her in 2108. Doyen is by the legendary Sadlers Wells but he hasn’t stamped his colour on Kaylen’s Mischief who is a flashy chestnut with a lot of white but a good stamp nonetheless. .
Sunshine today…
Minstrel Royale & Mangata
Its a lovely day here and we have been getting plenty of horses out in the field for a play – this was the first time Mangata had been out with others due to him being gelded recently, but he was perfectly behaved and actually all he wanted to do was eat the grass! He didn’t really want to gallop about with new purchase, Minstrel Royale who Phil bought at DBS a couple of weeks ago.
The stunning looking Cape Cross gelding, Mangata
The athletic Kayf Tara gelding, Minstrel Royale – a half brother to Barber’s Shop
Also out to play in this batch was Transient Bay, Baracalu, Courtown Oscar, Allmyown, Suggestion, Kilcullen Flem & Wemyss Point. We have several paddocks split up so it makes it a little safer to let them out rather than in a huge herd.
