Northern Girl (Lily) and new horse Nicely Indeed (Adam)
Back to reality today for the Kirby family – after a week of red hot sunshine in Ibiza it’s pouring down this morning and we’ve had to

many nice existing and new young jumpers for the winter, we can’t wait to get going with them. Pictured at the top of the page and below is The TopSpec Partnership and Ownarachorse’s
Northern Girl
‘Northern Girl’ who is nicely forward ahead of her Autumn/ winter schedule when she will go novice hurdling. There are still some shares in her for the new season ahead, and she is very affordable value at £500 for a 2.5% share for a full 12 months. She is alongside ‘Nicely Indeed’ owned fully by Ownaracehorse, a really exciting addition to the yard who joined us a couple of weeks ago.
Lady Buttons is looking in good shape – she is pictured here with Jenni before exercise this morning- her early season aim being a listed mares hurdle at Wetherby in October.

On second lot Tommy schooled another new
Dubh des Chamos
young horse, Dubh des Champs – he is entered up at Cartmel and needs a couple more runs to qualify for handicaps. He was a cheap buy for us at Ascot but wasn’t cheap originally as a 3 year old ( over £50,000) and he is one that might prove taking a chance on for staying chases in the future as he is out of a Presenting mare by Robin des Chanps. We have his 2 year old Yeats half sister here and a gorgeous looking individual she is, bought in Ireland as a foal. If we can win with this 5 year old then her page becomes enhanced.
Some other new names you may not yet be familiar with are- Rock of Leon, Barracalu, McEnzie’s Friend, Nemean Lion, All my Own, Gonn Away, Kilcullen Flem, Askmemore, Topvile Ben, Minstrel Royal, Pineapple Crush, Kaylen’s Mischief, – all horses who will be having their first run for us in the coming months amongst others.

All my Own, Irish point winner
No runners for the next few days but we clocked up yet ANOTHER frustrating 2nd courtesy of Good Time Ahead at Thirsk on Sunday- he came with a good late run under Kevin Stott but just couldn’t peg back the winner, he was just beaten half a length at the post. We seem to be having seconditis on the flat, hopefully we can convert those to winners over the next couple of weeks.
Nautical Nitwit has his big date at Cartmel on Monday when he runs in the 3m 1f staying handicap that Goldan Jess has previously won for us. He is looking in good shape, we could do with the rain staying away and some decent ground for him over this extended trip. He enjoyed an outside gallop a couple of days ago for a pipe opener.
