Archiposs wins on his seasonal debut!

What a performance from 4 year old Archiposs at Doncaster on the opening weekend of the flat. Following our 2 jump winners on Friday ( Suggestion went off 16-1) , Archiposs won at the generous odds of 20-1 Proving that flat or jumps, it all comes alike to Phil and our Team and the yard is really buzzing. Paddy Aspell gave him a top ride, and the gelding really quickened nicely in the final furlong to win this competitive handicap by 3/4 length. He didn’t just win the race, he also won the best turned out for Katie who had him looking superb.

We also had Maskoon running in the Amateur race for Carly Scott who has being riding out at the yard on a Sunday. He stayed on one pace and possibly needs some help from the handicapper but it was a fair debut and the trip looked well within his compass.

Tomorrow our Doncaster runners will be having a morning in the paddock, just like our Wetherby winners and friends yesterday – this is just one of the many reasons we like living at Green Oaks so much, the 100 acres of top quality grazing to keep these horses so happy and well.
