Arabian Oasis bumps into another well handicapped one today at Carlisle
Arabian Oasis stretching out under Jo yesterday
A frustrating day at the races but we weren’t disappointed with our two – Arabian Oasis finishing another solid second after travelling with enthusiasm all the way for Tommy. He is proving to be consistent but when there’s a well handicapped horse lurking in there, he is always going to be vunerable. None of us enjoy the seconds though!!!
Cavalieri came 4th at Catterick, not finding the lack of pace ideal around this sharp track, and he just couldn’t quicken when he needed to. He’ll be back when a bigger field would suit and remains capable off his turf mark. Katie duly won BTO with him and he looked a picture.

Tomorrow sees Archiposs at Chester, he goes there off the back of an excellent seasonal debut at Doncaster, winning under Paddy Aspell on the first day of the flat season. Its a very tight handicap and a lot depends on luck in running round chester, but he has a good draw in 3, and he is looking in tremendous form at home.

Its been glorious at the yard now that the wind has dropped! Some photos from the last couple of days…
