Directions and Parking
Sat nav can get you lost with all the new roadworks so we suggest you read this!
Green Oaks farm is situated on the road from Catterick Village (not Catterick Garrison) to Crakehall. It is in a small hamlet of farms called East Appleton. You can come from the Bedale to leyburn road and turn up through Crakehall and head towards Hackforth & Catterick village – you will find us about 2 miles out of Hackforth on the left.
If you are coming from the A1 South our Marne Barne Junction (northbound only) is shut so you need to go on to the next Colburn/Catterick Garrison junction, come off and then go immeiately back on South for a junction and come off at Marne Barracks going South. Then take a left towards Hackforth and then LEFT again up over the flyover. there are some bollards stopping you to start with over the first bit of road but you will see you CAN turn left and go up over it. This is signed to Hackforth amongst other places, it may even say C Garrison so dont worry. Keep going over all the new flyover bridges and turn left again to keep heading towards Hackforth. We are about 1 mile down there on the right, 4 new barns. Go past the barns, and down the hedge line until you come to the gate where we will be parking you – we are parking in the field by the gallop, you will be directed.
If you are coming Past the racecourse and into Catterick village it is simple, just keep heading on out the vilage towards the Marne Barracks A1 junction but turn right just before it and go up over the flyover towards Hackforth and continue directions as above.
