Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Fridays News

Triple Eight did his best to win at Hamilton yesterday evening, crucially he was minus his  jockey Mikey Ennis who was ejected as Triple stumbled out Of the stalls for no apparant reason. What a frustrating race for all concerned, but Triple was caught unscathed and had a good workout.

imageIn the earlier mile handicap, Rio Cobbolo looked like he was getting closley involved but his run flattened out in the last furlong and he finished 5th, not a bad run but just out the prize money again which is frustrating.

No purchases at the sales but Phil enjoyed his day with former leading flat Trainer, Jeremy Glover , one of our  Owners now, and so knowledgeable on his buying of youngstock.

We all liked this free walking iron grey daughter of Zebedee, (below)  picking her out straight away in the paddock but she made £120,000 , well out of our buying power.

This evening its Wolverhampton and Rio is fine so he runs again plus Enzaal who is on a recovery mission for Owners Keith and Jayne Sivillls. He goes well at home but is yet to translate his homework to the track this season. Good luck to them and the Grech family.

Factor  Fifty has been declared for Market Rasen tomorrow and we hope his 20 Owners all enjoy their day, he must have a good chance, we also run a new horse in the bumper, more of this tomorrow morning.
