We are three handed tomorrow with Embsay Crag going to Huntingdon and Ancient Times and Transient Bay closer to home at Sedgefield – the first racecourse (barring points) Phil had a winner at. Here’s a blast from the past….
The forecast is pretty wet but we don’t think it will inconvenience any of them, and it would be good to get a winner tomorrow although there looks some pretty hot favourites in their races, not least the Pipe trained first time out in a handicap, Thomas Junior who will surely take a deal of beating. Embsay shouldn’t mind this step up in trip , and Richie is back in the plate to try and gain their second win of the season together. Kyle James rides the other two, and he has won over fences previously on Ancient Times, he is only a small horse but can be pretty bold jumping, you wouldn’t want to run him round Aintree.
Julie will be taking Embsay to Huntingdon so Phil will be saddling the two at Sedgefield – good luck to all our Owners and safe journey for the horses in the races.
Bedale Lane is fine following her run at Doncaster today, she finished mid field in the bumper but was not beaten far and will surely come on for the experience as she ran in snatches and looked quite green.
