Wed 25th Sept…

It was VERY wet here yesterday and it definitely feels like summer has gone. Not all bad  as the rain will bring some nice safe ground – although the rider-outers might beg to differ! Bring on the winter jumping we say, with our generous team of bumper, hurdlers and chasers ready to do battle – we are quietly excited to see them all run.

Runners Thursday :

The smart looking colt Alsvinder heads to Pontefract for a 5f h’cap with Sean Davis in the saddle for owners Alan & David Fairhurst. He was very unlucky last time out just beaten a neck at Catterick and he remains in good form at home so we hope he can go one better tomorrow. The 2yr old Queen Of Rock is at Southwell having her second run for Buckingham Flooring and is ridden again by Andrew Elliott. Also at Southwell are The Resdev Way and Shine Baby Shine both in the 2 mile h’cap. Resdev loves a good hold up ride and seems to also love jockey Paula Muir so we hope to see their usual staying on finish for owners Resdev Ltd, hopefully in front by the post! Shine Baby is in good form at home too so herself and Nick Barratt-Atkin will also be giving it their all for her syndicate headed by David Gray and a nice 1-2 between them would be nice – Good luck to all connections and most of all we wish them a safe return home as always.
