Thursday’s News – and Winner!

The Resdev Way wins at Catterick

We enjoyed an excellent local win yesterday courtesy of stayer, ‘The Resdev Way’ at Catterick under a well judged hold up ride from Paula Muir. When he gets a strong pace and settles he can be a hard horse to beat and that’s the 4th race he has won for the Yard now. Congrats to his Owners and this is a cracking winners enclosure photo courtesy of Catterick racecourse. Resdev is a real favourite and a legend up the gallop with his low head carriage – sit still and he’s brilliant, move your hands and he can pull fiercely. We seem to have found the key to him now.

The Resdev Way streaks clear with a loose horse luckily keeping straight in front of him.

Lucky Mascot 🍀 It was a first day’s racing for baby Jack Olley, 5 month old son of Sarah & Simon – and we love this photo of him watching the action by the rails! Jack had his first sit on a pony a couple of weeks ago and there was a big smile from him aboard old boy ‘Brandy’.

Today it’s a return to fences for Nemean Lion and at a track he has shown winning form – Sedgefield. The horses are really starting to fire  and we’re excited about the months to come with such a strong team over jumps and the winter AW. Star Gazer is our big Autumnal hope for The Caeserawich and with a £500,000 prize fund, win lose or draw, that’s going to be a very exciting day at the races especially since Phil & I are 50% Owners! He is priced at a general 33-1 at present.
