Birthday Guest having fun in the field
So close again at Catterick yesterday 🙈 Moshe ran a very good race in the high grade staying handicap to finish a close 2nd, making all and just being headed in the last  furlong. He is a high class staying handicapper and loves to bowl along in front on ground with a bit of ease, we may well see him going over hurdles this winter coming. Mr Chuckles dissapointed and unfortunately for him is now booked in for a gelding operation!
We have two runners today at Doncaster, Perennial and Cavalieri ( good luck to their Owners) but Simon will be taking them as Phil and I will be attending the funeral of a dear friend, avid supporter of the yard and one of our very first Owners, the wonderful Pat Ellwood. She would like nothing more than one of horses to win at Doncaster today and she never missed a race. Pat with her husband Thomas sent us their point to pointer, Thorsgill back in 2007 and he made up the quartet that gave Phil Champion Hunter Chaser in his first year of training, gaining two pillar to post wins and a 3rd in the Stratford final.
We watched the 3 year olds progressing well yesterday – and all drew breath as the Robin des Champs gave a great leap over the jump with the new pink pole under it! He certainly has the size and scope to jump a fence.
Big Rob giving it some daylight
Bertie Blake jumping nicely for Kelly
Big Rob jumping a little less scarily
The fantastic looking Bertie Blake – our new Partnership horse

Its all coming on well here ahead of our yard Open Day on August 7th, this is the fabulous new Office building incorporating an Owners Room, we can’t wait to get it up and running.
