We drew a blank yesterday but two very good performances nonetheless from Istimraar, just beaten in a photo finish by an unexposed type, and Sakhee’s City going close in the bumper, another 2nd. Istimraar jumped very slickly again and he is developing into a smart 4 year old. Well done to Paul and Jean Chapman who won the bumper with Libby Mae, she recently went to Mickey Hammonds as they are not moving North with us, but Phil bought her unraced in Ireland at the Goffs sales and she proved her worth here on debut.
Preachers Belle ran a better race for 4th in the bumper, she has been 4th and 5th in two bumpers now, and she is FOR SALE, very reasonable, she will make a mares handicapper or a nice maiden pointer for next sason. Her brother The Snail has won tons of chases and points.
Many thanks to Mike Dunn who sent me many of the photos below, I love this one of Lynne with Stenna. He proved a bit dissapointing again yesterday but Phil is not daunted with him yet, he will be stepping up to 3 miles and getting sharpened up at home before his next run. All the horses who ran yesterday are fine.
there will be photos and news from the gallops later this evening and a video uploaded tomorrow.
