WOW, Lady Buttons has won the bumper at Wetherby in impressive fashion, her first run and even better she is homebred by her Owners Keith and Jayne Sivills, and they have two half sisters to come on after her. the dam is in foal to Shirocco and will be booked back into buttons sire, Beneficial, for 2014. It was a local success and their second winner in 8 days, they are great supporters of the yard and we couldnt be more pleased. It was also a very good day for Adam Nicol, winning on her and his earlier ride, he is a very talented conditional and a real horseman too. The day hadnt been going to plan up to then for us with Cameron hitting the deck in the first ( he is okay) and Woodpole Academy not placed at Aintree, he travelled well until a couple of mistakes at a crucial time just shuffled him back, there will be plenty more to come from him this winter though. Buttons was a timely winner and she looks to be a pretty decent recruit, plenty to dream about over the coming months and there is an extensive programme book for mares now.
