We were delighted to win the peoples choice award for ‘Yorkshire Jump Training Performance of the Season’ with Bushypark’s win of The North Yorkshire Grand National at Catterick, ridden by Tommy Dowson for owners The Green Oaks Partnership. Thank you to all who voted and we are very much hoping to retain the trophy this time – 11th Jan ’24, not long now!

Todays runner….
Top Ville Ben is todays runner down at Cheltenham in the 2.25 Veterans H’cap Chase with Harry Cobden on board. He lines up with a decent chance with ground to suit – we can put his fall last time out behind us as one of those unfortunate errors he sometimes has, 99.9% of the time he is a really solid jumper. A win at Cheltenham would definitely help us all get into the Christmas spirit amongst these bleak grey days we are having up here in North Yorkshire! Best of luck to Ben and long standing owners The Harbour Rose Partnership for a great days racing.
Winners…
Winners over the past few weeks have been Fircombe Hall & Doctor Mozart – both at Wolverhampton. Fircombe Hall made nice head way 2 furlongs out before switching right to win going away under Andrew Breslin for owners RedHotGardogs. 3yr old Doctor Mozart executed a good, positively ridden win up front from the start. Taking the lead 2f from home and holding on to win by half a length with Rossa Ryan on board for owners Alan Fairhurst & Simon Silcock. A nice couple of wins – congrats to all connections involved!

Anthem National finds his wings…literally!
Anthem National has taken the opportunity to run over in Bahrain for his owners James & Susan Cookson – which ment his first flight in a plane! We are glad to say he took it all in his stride and arrived safely. He came a good 5th for his first run over there from a bad draw on the outside, not a bad start at all! He runs again on the 29th Dec so lets hope he is loving having the sun on his back and progresses nicely while he is out there before his flight back in February. You can catch his races to watch on Racing TV.

Those of you following Pippa and the Kirby girl’s showing successes will know they are heading down to London for the London International Horse Show aka Olympia for Sun/Mon/Tues with Merlin now ridden by Izzy after taking the reins over from mum, and Indy with Wizard and George. We wish lots and lots of good luck to them all!!!
‘Chloe’s Image’ (below) a former multiple winner for us & half sister to Lady Chloe will be competing in the ROR Final today with her owner Beth Hutchinson – we wish them the VERY best of luck at The London International Horse Show 
Mummy Madi…
Huge congratulations to Madi who has recently welcomed the safe arrival of a cute little baby boy with her partner Henry, they have named him William. She says she is loving being a mummy but also cant wait to get back to being a jockey!
