Ripon & Carlisle Winners & temporary fb block!

Lily in the Jungle wins her 3rd race of the season

Please note all who follow our Facebook page, we have been blocked for 48 hours for ‘going against community standards’ but we are not sure why! Nor can we seem to find out why so for now we’ll just have to sit it out.

We are celebrating the 3rd success of Lily in the Jungle’s career with a pillar to post success in the Nursery handicap at Ripon on Monday night. Bathed in glorious sunshine, the filly quickened impressively from the front under Billy Garritty and ran out a decisive winner despite an 8lb rise last time. Lily spends a lot of time in the paddock at home and she was back out there on Tuesday morning relaxing after her exertions.

This was a week on from our Carlisle winner ‘Willing to Please’ who also made all & repelled all challengers up the Carlisle hill. She has been running well of late so this was a deserved success.

Our next runner will be Northern Chancer today in the 2.10 at Beverley. Otherwise known as Hercules, he is a huge character at home and still retains a very playful side! He is being gelded after this run as he thinks about the ladies a bit too much 😆 He qualifies for a handicap mark after today.

We are currently experiencing heatwave conditions and careful monitoring of all the horses out in the fields each afternoon. We are lucky to have plenty of mature hedges for shade, but some cope with the heat better than others.
