Friday’s News…

Today we have the lovely looking Red Force One up at Musselburgh in the 3:10 with James Sullivan on board. He is in good order at home and the track and trip should suit if finding his form from Ayr.

‘Fred’ looking very smart at Aintree back in April.

Somebody will have a big job to do getting him ready today!

Also today we have Everett heading to Thirsk for the 3:55 with a handy field of 5 runners under Danny Tudhope for his 2nd handicap run. He ran well for 3rd last time out at Ripon and we hope to see him build on this here with Thirsk probably suiting him better and the added help of first time cheek pieces.

Skycutter kicks off our Saturday in the Ascot Shergar Cup Classic at 3:10. He’s the top rated, top weight for the hot contest with top jock Adam Kirby doing the steering. This will be his 3rd start for us since joining us from France. Both his runs at Ripon and Newbury were very respectable, both going down by a neck, with him winning at Newbury everywhere but the line! He possibly compromised his chances a little at Newbury unfortunately getting a bit tense in the build up. If he has matured from his experience as we hope and handles the prelims well today he will run a solid race. Ross Chapman rides him at home and holds him in high regard.

Acquisitor is our runner at Haydock in the 4:40 with Billy Garritty on board. He has been sneaking up the handicap for his last 3 wins but we hope he can land himself a 4-timer here continuing in the same vein of improvement we have previously seen.

Fircombe Hall

The winning homebred Fircombe Hall is our first of 2 runners at Ayr on Saturday evening in the 6:25. We would love to see this consistant lad get back in the enclosure as he did 3 runs ago at Carlisle. Our last runner of the day is the Kirby owned Alsvinder who ran on Tuesday at Catterick not beaten far for 4th. This race is the course and distance our amateur Henry Newcombe claimed his first win with 3 runs ago on Alsvinder, so we hope Ben has Henry’s number to get a few pointers as he hasnt won since! No doubt Katie wont shy away from the late night at Ayr with her firm fav Alsvinder whom she adores and rides out at home.

The flashy Alsvinder.

As always, we wish the best of luck to all our runners, riders and owners, fingers crossed for a great weekend!
