First Glory sticking her neck out to win at Lingfield

Joe Williamson rode a very well judged ride from the front on our only runner  at Lingfield yesterday. The 5 year old Fame & Glory mare, First Glory’ was having her first start for us after being bought by owner, Alan Rodgers from the Irish painting scene. She had been placed 3rd on her second start. This was a gutsy performance, and we look forward to seeing if she can double up in her next bumper. We were thrilled for Alan who has had seconds with his other two with us, Dark Zeas & King’s Cave. Katie & Joe had taken the mare down South the day before and the journey home will have seemed a lot shorter!

We also had two at Wolverhampton, Stargazer who didn’t fire but there will be other days to come for him when the Handicapper allows him a little respite. The low mileage maiden, Juriste ran on well on his third start and handicaps now beckon for him. His Owner Joyce Porter has been very patient with him but he is starting to look promising.  Joyce also has Misscarlett at Southwell today who shares the box down with Alsvinder who ran a fine second on Sunday and turns out again quickly if Phil thinks he is ok this morning.

Please take a look at our new page ‘PKR CLUB’ on this website, our new venture is all now set up and we’ve had some wonderful feedback from those joining. It can make a fantastic present for friends or family that want to be involved with the yard and enjoy the journey of unraced mare ‘Green Oaks Top Cat’ plus another to join her as a summer horse.

We hope you all enjoy this snowy video taken over the last seven days at the yard, we had so much snow when other areas quite close to us didn’t have any, it was quite amazing. Our team had to work very hard in  difficult conditions, but they kept everything going and no horses missed any work.
