Zig Zag
We were back down to earth today with just the one runner at Haydock, but ZIG ZAG did us proud with an excellent 3rd at 33-1 in a hot 0-135 handicap. This really pleased us as he has struggled off his mark for a while but the handicapper is relenting a little and this was a sign that he is getting back to a competitive mark. Zig Zag has been a good servant to his Owners and usually wins a decent hurdle race once or twice a year. He is quite a character and a familiar face on our yard.
Instead of just downloading the Racing Post today we brought a few copies home… how couldn’t we with LADY BUTTONS making the front cover! At least they didn’t put the photo of Phil in his woolly hat on the front cover 🤣, they seem intent on using it whenever they can….
Also in tomorrow’s paper is likely to be this RP website piece about Tommy who has also had a fantastic recent spell riding our three Listed/ Graded winners for a Christmas he will never forget.
