Todays Racing at Catterick…
Richard Strauss
We have two at Catterick today – first up is Richard Strauss for owners Zoe & George Hassall ridden by Kevin Stott. He has a bad draw on the wide outside of this fairly tight track which is less than ideal, but Richard is a consistent trier so we are sure he will be doing his best. Good luck to him and all connections.
The Resdev Way
Our second runner of the day is The Resdev Way in a handy 4 runner field with his favourite jockey Paula Muir whom he seems to have a great partnership with – must be a ladies man! The pair won here at Catterick in August last year and Paula has had a great season, so fingers crossed for more of the same this afternoon for owners Resdev Ltd and all involved with him.
Tomorrow and Thursday we see our ‘in house’ amateur and apprentice jockey’s getting their chance, with Henry Newcombe (Fading Icon/Wed/Pontefract) and Nick Barratt-Atkins (Lady Camelot & Rayna’s World/Thurs/Haydock) getting the leg up. Its great to see the lads who put the work into the yard getting their chance and Phil has always been a strong supporter of them when he gets the owners approval.
