Today at Doncaster

Our Christmas really would be complete with ‘Lady Buttons’ winning the Listed Mares race at Doncaster this afternoon – and not forgetting ‘Wemyss Point’ who runs in the 3 miler to round off the card, both horses have a great chance. We also have 2 at Southwell, Sincereley Resdev & Midas Maggie who should both run well on the fibresand.

on her way…

Lady B was a non runner in Wetherby’s Castleford Chase on the 27th, being re-routed back to Mares only company for this valuable Listed Chasing prize. The ground is good/ good to soft in places which is fine for her, she bounces off it, obviously the trip is a minor concern but she won over 2m 2f at Bangor on soft last year and won bumpers as a 4 year old on heavy – she should cope with the extra couple of furlongs although she is up against some high class opposition, not least Rene’s Girl who ran so well at Aintree last year.

Adam rides as usual, he has partnered Buttons to every one of her ten wins to date and he is currently on the hot jockeys list, as is Phil on the hot Trainers list – here are our currents stats for the NH season:

It’s brilliant when the horses are running so well, but our main priority every race day is that they all come back safe and sound.

On to Wemyss Point and he’s a progressive young stayer with plenty of classy flat speed. It was a bit soft for him at Southwell but this should be better ground today and although he’s got plenty of weight, nothing is off a light weight and this galloping track should really suit him. He’ll be kicking on from the front and hoping to stay there.

Over at Southwell, Sincereley Resdev turns out again from his 3rd last week and if this doesn’t come a bit quick he should run well again. Midas Maggie tries fibresand for the first time and they seem to either love it or hate it, so hopefully it’s the former. She’s off bottom weight as is Sincereley so that should really help their causes.

Sincerely Resdev keeping warm!

Best of luck to our Owners today and hopefully we can push on to a new milestone of 60 for 2018!
