We have a team of 5 runners out for Saturday – Top Ville Ben heads for Kempton in the valuable Listed Race – The Lanzarote Hurdle, True Ballew runs in the fillies bumper at Wetherby along with Dare To Dream making her debut appearance, followed by Captain Bob and Mr Carbonator at Wolverhampton for an evening meeting.
Its a big day for Top Ville Ben as he lines up in the Lanzerote Hurdle at Kempton, a significant step up in class – but he won well last time out following the up in trip and he clearly went in the heavy ground, so hopefully he isn’t without a chance if the race is ran to suit him. We wish him the best of luck for owners The Harbour Rose Partnership with Adam Nicol on board again.
Wetherby duo True Ballew and Dare To Dream are in the fillies bumper. True Ballew has the advantage of already having a run with this being her second visit to Wetherby, where she took to her task pleasingly for a first effort and will no doubt have learnt plenty. Tommy Dowson rides her again for owners The Jessies. Dare To Dream has been doing well at home and will hopefully enjoy her first introduction to a race course for owners Ashley & Sue Clark and Clearabee Ltd with Nathan Moscrop on board.
Captain Bob goes to Wolverhampton for their evening meeting, he is yet to quite find his spark but has previously ran well at Wolves so we hope we can find the key to him to improve for owner Malcolm Long – ridden by apprentice Rossa Ryan(5). Joining Bob at Wolves is the ever consistent Mr Carbonator who remains in good heart at home and will no doubt be trying his best for owners Alan Fairhurst & Peter Sharp, also ridden by Rossa Ryan.
Good luck to all runners, owners and jockeys, come home safe!
Lets hope we can get our 2018 winners score board up and running – currently kicked off with Shine Baby Shine on 3rd Jan at Southwell, with The Resdev Way so very nearly adding to it yesterday! We had 33 wins combined for both flat and jumps for 2017, and they can all be seen on our ‘WINNERS’ page.
