It was another glorious sunrise morning at the yard – cold and crisp underfoot and the sun shone all day long. Whitchurch ran for us this evening on the AW but he was always behind, taken wide and got no sort of run, it’s a race not to dwell on. Tomorrow sees Little Bruce at Leicester and it was nice to see a photo of his close relation Augusta Kate in the Racing Post winning over hurdles in Ireland this week.
Our new Conditional Jockey, Lee Cosgrave passed his course this week – he was back to work this morning and is pictured here on’Big Rob’ . Lee will be making his debut very shortly, just as soon as his Licence comes through. Our yard jockey Adam Nicol has been off for some time with a spleen injury but he has been recuperating and getting back to full fitness at Jack Berry house in Malton these past couple of weeks and has nothing but praise for the first class facilities and support on offer there. He says he has never felt fitter or stronger – when he has been passed by the doctor to race ride again he won’t be lacking for fitness. With Adam away, Nathan Moscrop has been in schooling and doing a great job.
