A Sholokov gelding out of a Group 1 winning dam, the 8 time winner JADE was next into the shopping basket, he is a quality Individual who looks tailor made for bumpers and he looked excellent value for money.

A third purchase was a well bred Westerner filly out of the Silver Patriarch filly ‘Janebailey’ , dam of 1 runner, 1 winner to date, the 3x winning gelding ‘Scorpiancer, a Listed winner over hurdles in the USA who sold at the Cheltenham sake for £200,000 after winning his point to point. She is a most attractive filly and looks forward enough to train for bumpers in the coming NH season.

The trolley was full enough at this stage but one of the last lots of the day really caught the eye, a tall and imposing son of Robin des Champs who wouldn’t be much smaller than our Transient Bay. This gelding offerred by Glenview Stud is the first foal of French mare Jimble, a daughter of the dam of prolific Grade 1 and 2 scorer, Magnaninity. The next dam bred Grand National winner Amberleigh House. He looks a magnificent chasing model for the future by the sire of Vatour and Quevega, and was bought by Phil for his parents who attended the sale with us.
