Today we have Next Edition in at one of local tracks, Ripon for The Dibble Bridge Partnership and he has an EW chance at generous odds in the 2 mile race. Lexington Bay also takes his chance and he has something to prove back on grass but he is fit and well. Its not until 8pm this evening, but with a fine forecast it should be an enjoyable evening racing at one of the countries prettiest tracks. We also now give FREE transport to and from Ripon for our runners, also to Thirsk and Catterick.
Its Nottingham tomorrow, Whitchurch and Iftikaar both declared for the same race but its been handily split so they are in two divisions. Iftikaar ran very well on his seasonal debut so hopefully he can build on that tomorrow, Whitchurch is coming to hand steadily.
Yesterday saw the remainder of our horses from Castleton all come for turnout – six mares arrived including two to start breaking in, Hula Ballew’s 2 year old filly and Royalty’s three year old filly, a big half sister to Agglestone Rock by Native Ruler. The sire is a half brother to our Arabian Oasis and the good stallion, Sixties Icon out of Oaks winner, Love Divine. The others – Lady Buttons, Arco, Floss and Wispa all has a good gallop round their new paddock.
The yearling colts watched the new arrivals with interest..
We also moved all the geldings to a new huge field, and onto their summer break went Bruce Almighty, Sakhee’s City, Yellow Admiral, Aniknam & Man in Black.
Yesterday i took our girls to see Lady Chapp’s Presenting Colt who is an absolute cracker – he is coming back to Green Oaks later next week, also due to return shortly is Musikhani and Lady Chloe with their foals.
We are still waiting for our winner this week but saw a good 3rd from Triple Eight over 2 miles at Catterick on Tuesday. Here are some photos from the races ….
I was taking photos at first lot this morning and Izzy could be seen on her shetland Midget keeping tabs on the back of the string….Indy watched them go by, desperate to have a go herself!
