We have two runners today – Philip Makin is back on board Cavalieri at Ripon and he is up in trip by 4 furlongs as he bids to gain his first win of the year. He has dropped to a handy mark if he gets his act together, the race is at 5pm and we hope the rain hasnt got into the ground too much.

New horse ‘Bold Hemnie’ makes his debut for us in the 6.20 at Chemsford – Sarah and Julie have stayed down there overnight and he has an each way chance if he has been freshened up by coming to us.

Phil has declared ‘Call it On’ for Chepstow on Thursday, the ground was too quick for him  at Pontefract on Sunday and his was withdrawn after Phil had walked the course. He has fragile legs and its not worth risking him on good to firm ground – there is loads of rain forecast at Chepstow tomorrow and it should get in nicely.
