Call it On with Phil

Call it On with Phil

Phil has cheekily switched Call it On back into his colours for tonights race at Thirsk, its an ongoing joke we have that i quietly put them into my colours when i think they are going to win if we own them ourselves….I hadn’t spotted this sneaky move but I will be over the moon  if he wins anyway, I will just have to transfer his prize money without Phil looking! he hasn’t switched ‘Improved’ who runs in my pink and green colours  tomorrow, i hope that doesnt mean he thinks he can’t win! Both our chestnut boys are in good shape and we are looking forward to watching them both in action.

Next Edition had a nice run back last night, he travelled well for a long way but just struggled in the last furlong, he could do with a bit of ease from the handicapper as his mark of 81 is very stiff and although he is consistent, it would be great if the handicapper actually let him have a chance of winning! Eddie is a very popular little horse and he has an enthusiastic Partnership who can look forward to a good summer and Autumn with him – we have a couple of shares left if anyone would still like to get involved.

They have been extremely hard on Triple Eight putting him up 6lbs we think, Factor Fifty got a 2lb drop  and 2 year aold winner,  Mr Chuckles was given an opening mark of a highly respectable 76.

Pickworth is now back at Castleton with her lovely Scorpion colt, he is a very good looking individual and a great mover. The other foals have welcomed him into their pack!
