We had a really enjoyable day at Doncaster Races yesterday and Julie thoroughly loved her whole experience raceriding, she was absolutely buzzing afterwards and wanted to do it all again! Quadriga is a big powerful horse but Julie kept him under control as he powered to the start, and was quick not to let the leader get too far away from her in the race after the ‘walk in’ start.. She was the only one of the pack to keep tabs on him and had reduced the deficit to just half a length by the finishing post. It was such a close finish and there was a lot of shouting going on from ‘Team Kirby’ by the rails, I am sure

We were very pleased with Quadriga also who loved this spin up the 7f, he is a very good looking 4 year old who we are offering for sale to stay on the yard this summer. he has won three times already this year, and rated 69, he is excellent value at £8000 + vat.
Quadriga was our first runner of the day but Perennial was also in the frame at Cartmel for Adam Nicol – he is a talented but frustrating horse who we have still to find the winning key for but he again finished in the placings and earned prize money for his Owners. He is also back safe and sound and we are determined to get another win on his form figures before the season is out.
