Saturdays news- Eve update

Image

This Evenings news…

No winner today but Danny ran a sound race in third. We thought he had a decent EW on a break to grow and strengthen up, he is a lovely horse for the future. However,  Ours do seem to all be getting backed at present, a compliment in some ways!

I posted up some photos at the races (top and bottom of this post) and he looked in great shape as you can see.

Goldan Jess

Bank Holiday Runners….Superstar Goldan Jess heads to Cartmel in what is again, a competitive  looking race – a  class 3 handicap hurdle. He has not cut it when stepped up to this grade in the past, but he does seem to be better than ever this year. First priority is that he comes back safe and sound – Kyle James does the steering and will be trying to judge the pace just right to go fast enough to beat off all challengers but not too fast to last home round Cartmels’s long bend & finishing straight. He has ran well enough here in the past when just getting going again off a long break – it is his sort of track.

Brunello is our other runner, he is in the colours of Ownaracehorse and we would love to get a win for them tomorrow and get a 1 next to Brunello’s name. He has been running consistently well all summer, we feel the step up in trip should help.

We also have horses declared for Tuesday – Chloe’s Image looks to have an excellent chance to break her maiden tag in a weak looking seller at Ripon, she is favourite.  Money team is one of just 4 decs in the Sappers Conditions Stakes also at Ripon, he is having his second start for us and ran mid field over 6f at Catterick last week,  he would like the ground to dry out. Triple Eight is high in the betting for the big race of the day, he now runs off a mark of 78 and has been so consistent all summer.  Tuesday is also Sedgefield and the high class novice Sky Khan is likely to take his chance , as will our other novice, Indian Ruler. decs tomorrow.
