The yard is sited on 100 acres of good grassland fences into numerous post and rail paddocks offering excellent daily turnout. We really value having this facility to give the horses a change of scenery, a chance to vary their routine and to mentally relax. In addition to the racehorses we have a small, select group of broodmares producing National Hunt offspring who also enjoy growing up in the paddocks and we hope will be winners of the future!

As well as providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience, our state of the art solarium is a useful therapy tool with huge benefits to our horses. The effect is similar to a horse being out in the field with sun on their backs and provides a pleasant warming effect which helps to improve circulation and relax tense muscles. Paired with our TopSpec feed it helps to keep our horses coats gleaming and is a vital tool in our training regime.

Our sand lunge pen is used primarily for breaking and pre-training young horses in an enclosed and safe environment away from distraction, as well as for horses who require alternative exercise. The facility can also be used as a turnout area alongside our paddocks. At the top end of the yard we have a large outdoor fibresand arena, used for flat & pole work as well as warming up & cooling off, all important aspects of the horses training. In addition is our invaluable 6 bay horse walker, an essential tool for horses in the early stages of recovery and a safe, secure area for those coming back from a break.

We have an extensive range of schooling facilities on site which are used regularly as part of the horses training regime. Our outdoor fibresand arena is great for educating young horses at the start of their jumping career with a variety of poles, baby hurdles and cross – country style jumps to help build firm foundations before heading onto the schooling field. Our dedication schooling field is a hugely valuable asset and one that gets plenty of use, it’s an ideal area to practice away from the gallops and really develops their all round proficiency. In addition we have 3 ‘lift on’ practice hurdles, each 3 metres wide which are placed on the all weather gallop from time to time to allow horses to really get into a smooth jumping rhythm with the added benefit of not being weather dependent on the surface.

Our internal stables are found in 3 large airy barns, each containing 15 spacious boxes with stunning views down the valley through wide front double doors. At the far end of the farm we have an isolated row of 7 stables as well as a further block of 20 in two back to back rows. Whilst some horses are content wherever they are, we pay special attention to ensure every horse s housed in an area of the yard which suits their temperament. The tack room, feed room and wash down bays are conveniently close by ensuring each horse enjoys the highest level of comfort.

Through the Winter months our youngsters enjoy living in our dedicated ‘loose barn.’ Divided into four spacious sections it gives them plenty of freedom to stretch their legs whilst enjoying interacting with each other. Bedded with straw for warmth, they have constant access to haylage and automatic drinkers in each bay, there is no doubt they grow up happy and healthy.
