We are up at the re- scheduled Scottish National meeting with WHOSHOTTHESHERRIF in the 3.30 today, the Listed Hillhouse Quarry handicap chase with Sean Quinlan on board for Hambleton Racing . Sherrif ran a terrific race 12 days ago to win his second chase of the season at Carlisle, wether this comes to soon we will find out shortly! Let’s hope not. He seems in grand order at home and it was the natural next race for him with nothing suitable at Aintree this year. Generally about a 9-1 chance, we’d love to win a Listed prize with him for his Owners 🍀
3 year old filly ’Marilla’ makes her second racecourse appearance today for Owners ‘Hope Eden Racing Limited’ – she runs in the 5.40 at Southwell with Dale Swift on board. Marilla is likely to need handicaps to be competitive but this is all a valuable learning curve in her career & we are looking for improvement on each start. No doubt all eyes will be on the 11-10 fav John Gosden trained ‘Crenelle’ who is a Kingman half sister to the St Ledger winner ‘Logician’ now a UK stallion.
