Winners Busby & Whoshotthesheriff
We had a good recent run with 4 winners – 3 on the flat ( Burrows Seeside, Leopold’s Rock & Busby) and our latest Chasing winner, WHOSHOTTHESHERRIF at Carlisle winning a Class 3 in good style for Sean Quinlan & Hambleton Racing.
Sheriff added this win to his Bobby Renton win at Wetherby at the start of the season and when he is on song he is a class act.
Busby got off to a great start for his new partnership with a win at Wolverhampton under jockey, Dale Swift. Busby had his head in front with 50 yards to go, but received a bad bump, and was headed at the post. However he was awarded the race in the stewards room, and he has now won three of his last six starts. He looks a really good fun horse for his Owners and hopefully heads next to Redcar on the 4th April.
Wednesday saw a really successful charity night at the yard, with our team split into four groups and taking each other on in a sports day challenge. This was all in aid of Macmillan Cancer support, a grand total of over £1200 raised by Carolyn and al Involved , we are very grateful for everybody’s online donations that ensured this event was such a success. Many of you watched it live on Facebook and it proved a very amusing night. We celebrated later in The Green Oak Pub with our owner Len Rowland Jones providing the singing entertainment. Huge thanks also to photographer Phill Andrews for a great set of photos that can be seen on our fb page along with the videos. Watch this space as Carolyn is 1/3 of her way along her total to raise and there will be more fundraisers to follow including a DOG SHOW ⭐️
