A long overdue news post

Its the weekend before the Cheltenham Festival and we are looking forward to running Skycutter on Tuesday in the juvenile handicap hurdle. He goes there with an each way chance, keeping a lid on him in the preliminaries will be crucial to how he performs, he is very hot headed. Second on his latest start at Haydock in the Victor Ludorum Hurdle, the strong early pace at Cheltenham should be to his advantage.

We dont have any runners this weekend but the horses are in form and we’ve some good wins & placed results – winners on the flat from 5f for Gowanlad, a 3rd novice hurdle win of the season for Golfe Clair at Sedgefield and a mares staying handicap chase win for Another Theatre at Newcastle 😁 watch their winning videos below.
Yesterday saw a first flat ride for us by Apprentice Madi Patzelt – she gave Magellan a good ride to finish 3rd at Wolverhampton, he’s gradually finding his level on the flat. Full time staff member Jay Kozaczek has passed his Conditional Jockey course and is looking forward to getting his first ride for us, he has ridden winners abroad and even ridden in the Prince Philip Games Cup at Horse of the Year Show.
Its that time of year when the foals arrive and here are the fillies & colt that have had their Birthdays so far…

Due any day now are Helen Wood & Lady Westerner, and also to foal are Rayna’s World, Two Thirtyeat, Lady Kyria, Skid & Musikhani. We’ll have a record number of foals next year as also heading to stud are Lady Chloe, Dares to Dream, Another Theatre, Fille d’Avignon, Winfola & Iconic Belle.

Here are some photos of the last fortnight at the yard and at the races.
