Ayr review & the week ahead

A first win for ’Bee the Difference’

Putting his close second at Wetherby behind him, the Califet gelding ’Bee the Difference’ won in good style at Ayr on Tuesday under Tommy, drawing 9 lengths clear and setting himself up for another appearance next week under a penalty before he is reassessed by the handicapper. This was his first win and hopefully there are plenty more to come, he has a great attitude. The Vacuum Pouch Company have two nice young horses here in Mcgarry & Bee the Difference.

Dares to Dream ran in the same race, and being off for 708 days caught her out in the last half mile but there was plenty to take away from this reappearance, and her legs were in good shape the next morning. She looked tremendous in the paddock beforehand and this photo has won many admirers on our facebook page.

On the same card we almost made it a double with ’En Meme Temps’ who just went down fighting by 1/2 a length on his first appearance over fences. We were really impressed with his jumping and Tommy thinks he’ll be getting his head in front soon judged on how well chasing seemed to suit him. Ravenscar ran in the Lady Buttons Qualifier – she handled the good to soft ground fine and although she tired in the last furlong this was step forward and she is learning to hurdle more fluently. Mountain Glory wasn’t placed but we remain hopeful we can fond the key to this good looking son of Fame & Glory.

Fille d’Avignon

We are looking forward to Newcastle and Market Rasen today…

Fille d’Avignon has schooled well ahead of her return to action over hurdles in the Mares maiden. she should appreciate the good ground on offer as she is a lovely mover.

Bushypark is up and running! Every day sees the 19 boxes filled up and horses enjoying turnout in the paddocks there. Its looking really smart and although still a work in progress, its all coming together.
