Martalindy – journey to the racecourse

Yesterday saw our homebred 4 year old filly ’Martalindy’ make her long awaited racecourse debut. A couple of weeks ago we decide to lease her for her career to the PKR Racing Club and enjoy the journey with our many new Owners involved. Its a long patient road breeding a foal and everything going right to get him or her to the track, and thats if all goes to plan! We knew that Helen Wood had bred us a quality filly, and her big stride & willing attitude has always impressed at home. Schooled & ridden in her first year by Sammi Mcnicholas and this Season by Joe Williamson , she has reaped the benefits of top riders and an excellent upbringing, behaving so well on her first visit to a racecourse & running with great credit, beaten into 3rd by a length and a nose by two geldings. We couldn’t be prouder of her & look forward to her next start in a Northern Mares Bumper. If you would like to become part of her journey too please visit our Club page on this website for details.
