Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Saturday news

Today’s News post is dedicated to the memory of the beautiful Hope Eden Racing Owned, Aquisitor , who we sadly lost earlier in the week due to surgical complications. Acquisitor had been an absolute star for his owners this season with three wins on the flat, and he was a great character at home, very straightforward and easy – if only we has a yard full like him! Its such a hard game having animals whether they are family horses or race horses, injuries and outcomes like this will occur – it was a fracture that could’ve been sustained galloping in the field or on the racetrack, and despite every effort from the vet team, it was not to be. He leaves some special memories for his Owners and our team at home, also Phoebe Robinson who left us recently but enjoyed a memorable day with him at Catterick during the summer, her first winning lead up for us.

We now have just the one runner with the withdrawal of Tommaso – Madeeh has a nightmare draw to overcome at Chester and will be wishing he was at Newcastle instead with those wide bends and long straight… it wont be long until the winter AW season beckons.

Madeeh in winning form

Our 10 to follow competition started yesterday, to keep up-to-date with the points scored you can visit our PKR Facebook 10 to follow page or check out the page within this website from the menu bar. Misscarlett got the ball rolling with five points and a good second at Hexham, the other runners all finished safely and will likely come on for the appearance, it’s just the start of a long winter season. I will post an update from Meg soon to let you all know how much we have raised for The children’s charity ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ with your very generous £10 entry fees, we hope you get lots of fun and enjoyment from this competition during the winter and spring, there are dome excellent prizes including monthly ones.

And finally to make you smile – Jay Kozaczek take a bow… he sat to some impressive bucks on Green Oaks Top Cat this morning – her first day back in ridden work for 3 weeks!
