Abington Park heads our news post today – bred by us back in 2015 at Castleton, ‘Coco’ by Passing Glance is steadily improving and ran his best race to date over hurdles last time for 3rd at Uttoxeter. We wish his Owners Red Cap Racing the best of luck with him today at Market Rasen. The Jenny Candlish horse ‘Bowser’ is a hot favourite having won here last time, but the 2nd fav ‘On the Platform’ is a non runner – 10 now go to post. Joe Williamson rides, and we’d love to see him involved again, he is more than capable once he learns to hurdle fluently.
We have a busy day for our team with 6 runners in total – 5 at our local track Catterick and some each way chances amongst them. Victor is looking forward to the debut of his 3 year old ‘Robert Johnson’ an impressive looking Helmet 3 year old who has a career over hurdles in years to come.
We run new horse ‘Everett’ in the same race, he was a recent Tatts purchase and is a nice dual purpose horse for the future for his new partnership. He should also make a future hurdler.
FIRCOMBE HALL has been running consistently of late, he runs in the first division of the 7f handicap with Harry Russell on board. Known as Chesney at home, he was bred by Ace Bloodstock and grew up here since a foal – we love the homebreds.

Our final runner of the day is AQUISITOR for Hope Eden Racing – he was 3rd at Carlisle earlier in the week and runs again today with a good each way chance up a furlong in trip. Billy Garritty claiming 3lbs takes the ride. He is pictured here in the sunshine with Phoebe.
We enjoyed a good winner at Beverley on Saturday, TREVOLLI winning for Alan Rodgers in the auction maiden, he is nicely progressive and although had to battle hard for this victory, will have learnt plenty. Alan had a second on the same day with DARK ZEAS at Catterick. He won best turned out as many of ours have over the last seven days – Katie has been in red hot form with the turnout and Issey Gill also won BTO with Winfola at Catterick. Katie took BTO with Lord Torronaga at Ayr on Wednesday and he ran a good race to be 2nd.
Trevolli who won at Beverley.
Lord Torronaga at Ayr who ran well for 2nd and won BTO
Misscarlett although 5th ran another consistent race yesterday at Hamilton and looked a possible winner until the last 1/2 furlong. We are keen to see this mare in the winners enclosure and while she continues to run well we’ll keep pushing on for that first win she deserves, she is very genuine just a little one paced.
