We have some real characters running today – the grey ‘Fred’ ( Red Force One) makes a start for us at Lingfield, it’s suspected he may come on for it as he is quite a burly horse but a talented one. His Owners have plenty to look forward to under both codes with him this year.

‘Wemyss Point’ is a real favourite with his Green Oaks Pship Owners and he could make it 3rd time lucky after 2 close seconds… we hope so! Kevin Stott rides.

Show Promise ( Joss) is a special homebred horse to us, he likes it round Catterick and is trying a new trip today with Ross on board, he didn’t appreciate the soft at Southwell last time so hoping the rain doesn’t get in too much today – best of luck to his enthusiastic Partnership .

An impressive win in his novice season at Catterick for Show Promise and his Owners, The Philip Kirby Racing P’ship – can he repeat the feat today over a longer trip ?

To finish we have ‘Sir Jimmy Allen’ otherwise known as Pedro and the most beautiful 4 year old that will grace a racecourse paddock this year!

Well that is in our eyes anyway, he is certainly very striking. Pedro is still a big baby though and this will be a learning curve for him, we expect further improvement as he matures and we know he does have an engine under his grey bonnet. Joe Williamson takes 7lbs off him today and we hope to see promise for the future and a nice performance.

Best of luck and safe return for all horses & jockeys  today 🐎🍀
