Wed 16th…..

Another Theatre excelled herself at Southwell on Sunday with a great win under Tommy Dowson for owners The Vacuum Pouch Company at odds of 28-1. She clearly relished the return to hurdles after a couple of starts over fences. Its fair to say her jumping still has some improving to do, but it didnt stop her taking command 2 from home and they couldnt stay with her for her impressive 18 length win. Those of you with her in your ’10 To Follow’ will be extra pleased to see her win as it gains a bonus 10 points for being a win over 10-1 odds in a handicap. Pic above is back in the stable yard at Southwell after racing looking deservedly pleased with herself, congrats to all connections! Yesterday Fircombe Hall didnt quite get his double with Hollie Doyle at Newcastle, but it was a respectable 2nd, with a reversal of the form, beaten by rival Stay Smart which he beat by a neck in his last run there at Newcastle earlier this month.

We were also very pleased to see our star hurdler of the moment Bushypark complete his quartet of wins on Friday, this time swopping back to having Joe Williamson on board at Doncaster – now two a piece for Joe and Tommy. It was another solid performance and its safe to say Bushy has definitely earnt his forthcoming break before freshening up to take on his hike in the weights he will have following his top efforts. Well done Bushy and all involved!

Bushy completes his quartet in fine style.
