Monday’s news Part 2
Our final runner of the day is the exciting ‘Whoshotthesherrif’ who runs in the Graduation Chase at 2.25. Stacey who rides him at home and who is one of his biggest fans, will be leading him up and he’s been a little unlucky not to land a decent prize yet, let’s hope today is his day for Hambleton Racing, good supporters of our yard.
He has a tough rival in the highly rated ‘Esprit du Large’ to beat, but Sean will be keen to take this prize for Owners Hambleton Racing, and we are hopeful of a bold bid after a rather frustrating couple of days racing at Wolver, Hexham & Kelso – 3 seconds and a fall for ‘Sunset West’ when going well meant things didn’t go quite to plan despite some good performances. All horses are back safely.
Abington Park has completed safely in the novice at Carlisle and he will need a further run to be eligible for novice handicaps.
We have news of 2 smart new arrivals to Green Oaks over the weekend… firstly the Winning 2 year old ‘Billian’ who broke the track record at Beverley in the summer. He’s 80 rated and an imposing individual who we can look forward to in sprints next year.
In a totally different mould we have the 5 year old 130 rated hurdler ‘Red Force One’ who has joined us to make an exciting Spring/ Summer 2021 horse for his new Owners ‘The Yorkshire Puddings’ .He has some decent flat & hurdle form and could be one for some good summer prizes at Market Rasen and maybe a trip to Galway.
Some photos from the yard the last couple of days
