Thurs 5th Nov….

We are very glad and thankful to still be up and running as England enters its 2nd lockdown and Bonfire night is cancelled – a lucky bonus for anyone with horses! Racing goes ahead, but with the restrictions getting tightened to 2 owners allowed to attend the race meetings with their horse its not great, but we will take it and pray that come December Boris doesn’t extend for Christmas.

Yesterday saw some pleasing runs, not least from previous winner Lord Torranaga putting in a solid effort in a bid to make all under a penalty for 4th. Dame De Ruban was only just relegated to 3rd by a nose under a brave performance with top weight. She has the makings of what we hope will be a really nice horse, a future mares chaser. Fille D’Avignon had her final bumper run and is now set to have plenty of schooling ahead of her over the next few weeks before novice hurdling.

Dame De Ruban on her way to a bravely battled for 3rd yesterday.

Today at Sedgefield

Miladygrace

Its a girls day out today at Sedgefield with Two Thirty Yeat, Milanvera and Miladygrace all in mares hurdles. The race has been split with Two Thirty Yeats in division1 and Milanvera in div2 with Miladygrace. Two Thirty Yeats didn’t travel well last time out and will be seen ridden with different tactics today under Joe Williamson looking for an improved and sweeter run from her. Milanvera (Ross Chapman) and Miladygrace (Tommy Dowson) both up in trip hoping to be competitive off their marks, with Milanvera having her debut of the season and Miladygrace maybe having the upper hand of a run under her belt already. Best of luck to all owners, jockey and connections for a good day and safe returns home.

Two Thirty Year with Victor.
