Burrows Seeside wins at Newcastle
It was the lucky last’ for us on the all weather yesterday and a strong ride from the excellent Harrison Shaw saw a second career start for the improving ‘Burrows Seeside’ owned by the Morgan & Casterton families. They couldn’t have been more delighted and nor could we as he quickened up impressively to reach the post just in time having found himself in traffic trouble a furlong out. Katie took him to Newcastle and was delighted to also win the Best Turned Out award ⭐️
The Racing Post Analysis reads….
Phil will be seeing if he can run him again without a penalty, this being a boys race – but wether he does or doesn’t, he is a lovely horse to have in the yard and the right race will come for him. He has a great attitude and a very good turn of foot!
Of our Weatherby runners yesterday we are pleased to report they are all back safely. Arthur Mac ran a nice race in the handicap hurdle, he improved from his first start and while he could do with a few pounds respite from the handicapper, he is progressing the right way after a long time on the sidelines. Well done Meg with her BTO award 👏 he looked superb.
We were excited to be running Louis Vac Pouch in the big Chase yesterday but he fell when travelling well following a small error with his landing gear. Both he and Tommy were unhurt and they’ll be back. Hidden Commander jumped safely round in his first novice hurdle and although he looks to need further in time it was a satisfactory debut for this young former pointer in good company. More to come from Weatherby today 🍀
