Fri 30th Oct….

We had another top effort yesterday from the master of consistency Mr Carbonator for brothers Alan & David Fairhurst, 3rd again over same C&D at Southwell under Ben Curtis this time. Another 3 points earned for those of you shrewd enough to have him on your 10 To Follow lists.

Mr Carbonator ready to run at Southwell.

Todays Runners…..

Louis’ Vac Pouch.

We have 3 at Wetherby this afternoon. Arthur Mac returns following his encouraging debut here a fortnight ago, Louis’ Vac Pouch is in the h’cap chase and will have come on after his first appearance of his season and Hidden Commander runs in the novice hurdle, having his first run under rules which is also his first run since joining us following an Irish point-to-point win back in March. All piloted by Tommy Dowson for owners The Vacuum Pouch Company Ltd, we wish them a great days racing and a safe return home with their trio.

Hidden Commander – Debut NH run today.

Later this evening we have the C & D winner from 10 days ago, Burrow Seeside in the 8:15 Apprentice h’cap at Newcastle with Harrison Shaw on board. He looks set to defy his penilty and his win hasn’t gone unnoticed with him currently the firm favourite for tonight. Lets hope they are right, best of luck to owner/breeders Caroline & David Casterton and Neil & Julie Morgan for a nice double.

A pleasing win at Newcastle last time out.

Looking towards the weekend we have mixed emotions for the exciting Charlie Hall meeting with the absence of Lady Buttons following her retirement and Top Ville Ben on the sidelines for a while with injury it will be a little quieter than it could have been, but we still go with a smart trio of respectable contenders in the form of novice hurdler Robincollette, winning chaser Niven and the stable stalwart Sakhee’s City hoping to do the Purple & White colours of Lady Buttons proud. Under another code at Wolverhampton Madeeh will be flying the flag in the Top Ville Ben colours for The Harbour Rose Partnership.

The Harbour Rose Partnership’s Madeeh.

Check back for a video compilation tribute to Lady Buttons being uploaded tomorrow which Pippa is currently perfecting!

It was great to be able to have Tommy hit the century on one of ours last Sunday at Hexham, and in such good style too with Rayna’s World obligingly giving him a dream ride to celebrate on! Congrats to Tommy and again to her owners Ace Bloodstock & Rayna Fitzgerald who can hopefully look forward to an exciting season ahead with her.
