Friday 25th News & new videos

Burrows Seeside 3rd this evening at NewcastleWe had the one runner today and Phil & Owners were delighted with the progress made by 3 year old ‘Burrows Seeside’ who was a staying on third under Graham Lee in the Novice Stakes at 5.20. This was his 3rd career start, and he looks a lovely horse going forward for the remainder of the season and continuing into winter AW.  It’s clear the horses are ‘coming to’ nicely and at the time of the year when we start to really get busy.

Hopefully you have been busy compiling your ‘Ten to Follow’ lists and we still have 5 days to go to watch our next videos and thoughts from the team… you can leave your entry/ entries until the last minute if you wish! There are now 5 videos on the ‘Ten to Follow’ page on this website, here is our latest one, number 5. Thankyou for your generous £1500 raised so far for the charity ‘Children with Cancer’ , and  with luck, plenty more entries to come in too 😊

Our Perth runners were all back safely and some performances signalled promise  for the Winter months to come. It was a long way but beautiful jumping ground was on offer.

Tomorrow sees STARGAZER head to Haydock and take on the mightily well handicapped GOSHEN – we’re having to give him a fair bit of weight which seems a bit unfortunate but our horse has to find his level again after a long layoff and a couple of comeback outings. He loves Newcastle and the AW but for now he’ll be playing his trade on turf and the recent rain was NOT welcome as it was riding good until Thursday when the rain gods unfortunately appeared. It is currently good to soft. Watch his run with interest if you are considering him for your Ten to Follow List and if he is fit and sound on Sunday morning we’ll be expecting further improvement again.

The beautiful WINFOLA heads to Market Rasen for her third hurdles start and it’s a pretty warm mares novice event over 2m 1f – good luck to her Owners in The Silver Linings Partnership. She’ll be joined in the horsebox by the bumper duo RAIFF & JURISTE who’ll  be rounding off a decent card of races at the Lincolnshire Track.
