Saturday at York

An incredible photo of STARGAZER by Megan
Dent Photography 🤩👏

Stargazer makes his big comeback in The Ebor at York  today (3.40) after 509 days off the track. A seemingly impossible task but off a rating of 104 achieved in some some superb performances for us, where else do you go…? There are not many races available to him off this rating unless you step up to Listed class. The handicapper hasn’t dropped him even a pound for all his time on the sidelines which is frustrating. He is 7 years old now and still goes great guns at home .. sound tomorrow will be the best result and we hope he enjoys his big day out and shows a bit of spark. He had been meant to run in The Northumberland Plate on the AW at Newcastle before a setback cost him that ideal race. All roads will lead to that next season….

He’s been ridden at home every day by Sammi McNicholas and lines up this afternoon in the top class hands of Kevin Stott , running for the Hassall Family and ourselves. This horse has given us so much pleasure already, we just hope we can keep him in one piece now to get consistently racing again.
