We’ve had a pause for breath before our 4th Interview and as promised we have Victor Coglan ‘up close & personal’ as we learn a little about one of the biggest characters at Green Oaks

If you didn’t work in racing, what profession would you do?

‘Probably a Farrier’

Best moment at Green Oaks since joining the Team?

‘Bertie Blake’ winning at Sedgefield

( This didn’t take much thinking about. Victor has ridden Bertie regularly since he joined us and has always kept the faith in him that he would win – and then won again 😁)

Favourite horse on the yard

 No particular favourite but I admire ‘Lady Buttons’

Favourite Racecourse ? ‘Hexham’

Whats the best and worst thing about working with Phil?

Best – He’s laid back

Worst – He’s too laid back!

Hardworking, kind, great with young horses, expert at plaiting & turning out at the races, Jack of all trades at the yard including gardener,  and  has proved several times now, a top dancer…

I have also never heard Victor say a job can’t be done!
