It’s pretty sad it we’re all getting quite excited about the Virtual Grand National!

Team PKR & Owners will be tuned in to ITV 3 on Saturday at 5pm, and although it’s only a ‘virtual race’ there’s going to be a massive TV audience with betting available and profits going to NHS Charities battling Covid 19.  Tommy will have to ride a finish on the settee arm rather than on Ben, let’s just hope he is there at the business end, he says he had better not be unseated as he has only had one UR in 170 rides! ITV please take note…!

And in true Grand National style we’ll be holding our own Green Oaks Grand National on Saturday afternoon …

Our Dog Derby was well received so we’re planning the RE MATCH and this time we’ll add  fences. The dogs have been in serious training, and the honour of the PKR dogs is at stake…. will fences have the desired effect to make Sukey concentrate better or will the genuine trier Chip come out on top again? Can Lady find the extra speed necessary to get involved and will Betsy make it over the first? you can’t miss it.

There is plenty being done with the young horses as well as the flat horses who are keeping going while we await what will happen to racing next month. Simon has been breaking in the Camelot filly, and she’s been pretty good to do.  She was ridden away today by Henry and she will learn to canter before going  in the field for the summer – she has a good frame and just needs to grow and furnish.

Phil’s been keeping busy on a lunchtime getting some extra jobs done. He turned his hand to digger driving on Sunday…sorting out the sand pen.

Not the worlds biggest digger…
